Gave up after spending some time on google which spat out pages that linked to University of Manitoba faculty of Arts and some “Find restaurants” site.

The bridge is named after T. V. Kalyanasundara Mudaliar(Thiru Vi.Ka).He was involved in the labour movement.

Arvind is right. The bridge is named after Thiru. Vi. Kalyanasundaram, who was the one of the founders of the first Labour Union in India (the B&C Mill Labour Union in 1918)
