Flyover to be build in Tambaram

A six-way flyover connecting West and East Tambaram will soon be built in the city’s crowded suburb. The Tambaram municipality has decided to build the flyover with the help of the railways and the highways department. A model of the flyover would be kept at the Municipality to get the comments of the public.
I remember this used to such a hassle to move from one side of the Tambaram station to the other because there was no flyover. This would be very useful indeed for the people of the area.
The projects falls under the World Bank’s Tamil Nadu Urban Development scheme. The 2147-metre-long flyover will cost Rs 44 crore to build. The construction is expected to be completed in 24 months. But surely that is going to take more time than that.

PS: Anyone living near Tambaram, call the Municipality and see if the model has been showcased. If it has, please post you comments in here. Or is all of this too much to ask?

Since the World Bank is funding the project
shouldn’t they require it be called
‘Drive Over’ or better yet ‘Snail Over’
    instaead of ‘Fly Over’ ?
