SSN to start university in Greater Noida
The Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar Institutions will start a university in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The university is likely to become functional in a couple of years. After inaugurating the new facility of the SSN School of Advanced Software at Karapakkam, about 40 km from here, Mr Shiv Nadar, founder, SSN Educational and Charitable Trust and chief of HCL, said he had approached the Uttar Pradesh government for starting a university in the state. Mr Nadar said that the university would provide courses in engineering, public administration and management. “We have sought about 250 acres of land from the UP government to set up the university,” he said. He said the government response was encouraging and it had agreed to help set up the university.
