The guy thing

In case you haven’t read Kaps’ post on elusive 28 size black trousers or the lack of them in Chennai, do head here. I guess this has been happening for a while. A couple of years back, I remember joining a cousin in his quest for size 32 trousers and measuring the length and breadth of Chennai city instead.

Where the big-shops never worked, the quest ended at a small congested place close to Adyar bridge. I dunno if it still exists and can’t quite recall its name.

    Krithiga,
I was actually looking for a 30 size black trouser. If the retailer is enterprising and is part of a chain / company franchisee, the retailer might take down the shirt / trouser size of the particular colour / design and might try to source it from another outlet (usually happens in the case of Allen Solly, Louis Philippe and Van Heusen). Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen everytime :-(

I had the same problem of size 28 waist for almost 6 years. Then I found the simplest of all solutions, add more inches. Now at 34, I have enough choices :-)
