Viv’s on Harrington Road

First of all, Viv’s is a small non air conditioned restaurant with basic service levels. They are damn popular for their Chinese. Apparently, they also dish out North Indian fare, but I haven’t tried that out yet. Viv’s is on Harrington Road after Shoppers Stop to your right. I would say that Viv’s is the perfect setting for the budget conscious people, college goers and working executives. We (2 of us) went there for Lunch. Mind you, a half plate can be ordered here, which itself I thought was novel. We ordered for some Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice & Egg Noodles (1/2 plate each) and a Chicken Gravy to go along with it. As usual, the food was served piping hot, the Fried Rice near perfect and the noodles soft and sprinkled with egg. The Chicken Gravy, rather we had asked for a semi-gravy, was spicy. The Chicken fresh and well-cooked. The portions even for a half plate good enough. And all this for Rs. 110 only. In all, good food (7/10), great value (9/10) and quick service (8/10). A must try, especially when the wallet goes light during the latter half of the month.
