A languid Sunday afternoon with the Chennai Metblogs team
Some of the Chennai Metblogs team decided to meet for lunch at the New Woodlands ‘Vrindavan’ restaurant at 1 o’clock. The captain of the team, Chadrachoodan, Vinod Subramanian, Kiruba Shankar, Nandhu Sundaram, Krithiga and I made it for the lunch. After a wholesome lunch of South Indian thalis (Vinod and I), North Indian thalis (Nandhu and Kiruba) and a la carte dishes with Naan (Krithiga and Chandrachoodan), Chenthil joined us and suggested we head to Amethyst for coffee.
That’s where we whiled away this glorious Sunday afternoon, with the sun playing hide and seek. We chose to sit out in the gardens, and discussed many different aspects of the city, its development, the old and the new. It was a great time of getting to know each other, as well as getting to know this great city from each other’s perspectives. It was a refreshing time, making each of all the more determined to make the Chennai Metblog something of value to readers.
So look out for more on Chennai, its goings on, what’s new, what’s on, where to go and what to do!
