The city police has made some modifications in the traffic from Tuesday onwards, in view of the Independence Day celebrations.
The stretch of road from Kamarajar Salai to the Napier’s Bridge to the War memorial, the stretch of Rajaji Salai from War memorial on RBI subway and Flag Staff road would be closed for traffic.
Vehicles coming in from Kamarajar Salai and proceeding towards Parry’s Corner via Rajaji Salai may take the route via Swami Sivananda Salai, Anna Salai, Muthuswamy Bridge, Muthuswamy Road, Raja Annamalai Mandram and NFS Road to reach Parry’s Corner.
The vehicle from Rajaji Salai intend to move towards Kamarajar Salai may take the route via NFS Road, Raja Annamalai Mandram and Muthuswamy Road.
Vehicles with specific colour passes are requested to stick to their timing and routes to reach the venue. Those vehicle drivers without pass are asked to park their vehicles inside the Island Grounds. MTC buses carrying school and college students will drop the commuters on Flag Staff Road.
