Kathipara Grade Separator & A R Rahman

A R Rahman

To improve access to Golden Quadrilateral, National Highway Authority of India is implementing three grade separators at Kathipara, Padi, Koyambedu junctions, a flyover in front of airport and widening of Koyambedu – Maduravoyal section of NH 4. The total cost of the project is Rs 200 crores.

Of the three grade separators, Kathipara and Padi have gained momentum. This could be visible to anyone who passes through these areas. Hectic activity is seen in Kathipara junction. The north east monsoon could delay the project completion by April 2007.

On a Sunday morning while I passed through Kathipara, with the backdrop of AR Rahman in World Space hoarding, I saw a no of workers busy with their work. This is the image you see in the top of the post.

The image below is a collage of the same image created using fdsflickr toys “Hockneyiser”

When you mention “Grade separator”, are you referring to an ‘Interchange’?
