The Chennai Metblog Reader+Author meet

By most accounts, was a success. Well, admittedly, there were far less readers than there were authors. But then, the readers did come. Much coffee was had, so was had Chili Cheese Toast. Needless to say, conversation happened, plans discussed, targets agreed upon. Additionally, the Metblog author team fixed the inflation rate of the country, changed the presidential dress code, set up a puppet government in Fiji and Singapore, made fun of George W. Bush and more. Much global changes in the offing.

Photographic evidence follows –

The setting – Amethyst, a coffee shop set in Sundar Mahal, the old summer palace of the Raja of Jeyapore. This is the building that houses Amethyst.

The orange-shirt is Vatsan, Chenthil is stuck in the middle, while one reader who’s in denial that she reads us is ready to nod off.

The reader in denial looks bewildered as does our author – Lavanya. To put the picture in context, we were discussing trolls on the metblogs. That means some of you folks who are reading this post now.

David Appaswamy. He holds forth on conjunctivitis and how it helps him be in the top 50 posters list.

Coffee. Espresso, double shot. Sleepless night for me, Chenthil and BG. http://chennai.metblogs.com/archives/images/2006/12/DSCN7895-thumb.JPG

Speaking of BG, the journo authors came as a team – Nandhu and BG. BG in the foreground, Nandhu in the middle and Thennavan at the far end. The hand holding a morsel of chili-cheese-toast belongs to David.
