Where in Madrs 4

It’s been a while since I asked a question. So here goes:
Where in Madras will you find the Dams Road?

Meanwhile, here’s the answer to the previous Where in Madras question.
In that question, I’d posted a photo and asked you folks to identify the location. The place is Ethiraj Salai, near the Pantheon Road junction. So, Nilu got it the closest.

Meanwhile, reader SJ’s been asking us all a question for a long time.

Who was the first high court judge of Madras? Does anyone in Chennai know the answer to this.

If you know the answer to either of the two questions, drop in a comment.

Yay.. finally a question, that I can answer immediately without thinking too much..

Dams Road is in Chindaripet. It leads off Anna Salai and I think has a big telephone exchange. There is a dargah at the intersection of Dams Road and Anna Salai and on the other end of Dams road is Casino theater!

The right question for the season should be “Where in Chennai will you find a real road?”

After the monsoon, i can’t classify most of the city’s/suburb’s stone mix as roads
