Where in Madras -5

Turns out the previous ‘Where in Madras’ question wasn’t as hard as I thought it was. Everybody who commented, knew where Dams Road was. Damn! Anantha got it right first. Others weren’t that far behind, though. Great going, folks.

Anyway, here’s this week’s question. A visual round. Identify the location this shot was taken in. Extra credit for identifying other landmarks near this place.

Pond

Looks like the pond right next to the Chetpet bridge. But I do have my doubts, last time I saw (4 yrs ago), there used to be a bench on that island under that tree. Can’t make that out from your picture. Btw, if it is the pond, its a shame that it has been over-run by weeds. But I have seen it dried up too…

As for other landmarks, if it is the Chetpet pond, I think I can see the light tower(s) of the Railway shunting yard that lies just east of the Chetpet station. You can also see the “TV tower” in the distance.
