Lit bridges, sculpted sand

Pongal saw the city getting a bit of facelift. The corporation of Chennai lit up the city’s bridges – yellow, tiny serial lights. I must say, they look rather good in the nights.

While bridges glowed, the beach functioned as a canvas. To Sudharshan Patnaik. A famous sand-sculptor, he was in Madras for the two days of Pongal, courtesy the Port Trust. And he gifted the Marina two pieces of art. Here they are –
