40 plus

The temperature scale hit 42 deg C yesterday. The prediction is for 40 plus for the next few days. Like the Radio Mirchi tag line goes, “It is sema hot machi”. Unless your life depends on it, don’t venture out during day time in Chennai for the next few days.

The newspaper says 44 today. I don’t think I experienced that before!

They say the humidity is low, but there is litres of water coming from our AC machine, which we are collecting for the garden.

Free AC? Free TV? What about free broadband? [laugh]… Perhaps they should just suspend charging for electricity for the month.

Or maybe not… imagine the explosions and showers of sparks as everyone turns on all their ACs if it was free!
