Wondering Aloud: Counting the Parks…

Let us say you are on the road. You have enough time to look around you at boards and trees and buildings. Chances are, sooner than later, you’d spot a hotel. And chances are that it will be named a ___ Park. Really. You must try it. First I thought it would be ____ Inn. But believe me, there are no words to tell you how many hotels in Chennai have names that end with a ‘Park’. As if they overlook lush green parks or something!

Here’s a sample:
Vijay Park >> Radha Park >> Raaj Park >> Shansi Pearl Park >> Green Park…and you know which road I’m talking about.

Here are some others:
>> Dreamzz Park
>> Natesan Park ( just testing if you were paying attention)
>> Sky Park!

I made a list okay. Can’t find it now, so quoting from bad memory and can manage only so much. Go on, try it.

PS: if you tried counting the Bhavans, you’d faint on a hot summer’s day, so be warned…

Try counting the ‘Sagar’s in Bangalore. Its worse than our ‘Bhavan’s – you have Sukh Sagar, New Sukh Sagar, Homely Sukh Sagar, Improved Sukh sagar… (okay.. i made up a few of them,, but the city has more sagars than you could possible count!)

There’s a restaurant called Cream Center. This is diagonally opposite to Kaliappa Hospital. It’s a nice restaurant that serves veg stuff. I’m sure you will like it. You can write about this. It’s been a long time since i saw anything with respect to food in Chennai blogs.
