Is this the solution?

MTV did something sometime ago to discourage people from urinating in public. Cyrus with a cameraman would go up to culprit, tap him on his shoulder, and politely ask him what he was doing. I think it later turned up on MTV bakra.

What say we Chenaiites try a similar approach. Shoot a pic of anyone you see making a mess on the road. Try to get his face without getting bashed up, and send it to a newspaper or post it online. Taking along some well built friends might help.

I caught this bloke on the corner of Lodikhan Street. He was too fast for me to catch his mug. Next time, I promise.

it would be great if we can snap policemen taking bribes. it is easy to get their pictures as they do it out in the open. But the consequences i don’t know.

Why not build some decent public convenience facilities/rest rooms?. When you can give free color TVs you can build loos. Instead you resort to ugly tactics like this. Chennai Metblog can you get any lower than this?
Come on Chennai Metblog, atleast for a change – Think!

bascally even if they make toilets for pubilc use its gonna be a mess…and if they start charging to pay the workers to keep it clean the people will think its stupid to pay since the whole city is a public toilet to them..and the ones which are not gonna be pay and use are gonna stink like hell

that is a pretty good idea. anonymous hero, if you have ever lived in chennai, you should have enough experience and know that what you said are tried and tested formula that failed miserably. media is the way that people can reach people. and it is only us people who can put an end to this. this will only change if people become embarrassed to do such a thing.

    TVs win votes. Toilets won’t.

Yesterday I took a piss in the carpark behind a mylapore vegetarian hotel where I eat regularly.

Why? Because their toilet is so disgustingly kept. I don’t want to be made to feel sick after a meal.

Everything else about the hotel is good. I just cannot understand this.
