    Using my bad Tamil-reading skills and guessing at Sentamil words, I guess the government plans to build a flyover at Koyambedu which can also accommodate ships.

    Or something like that anyway.

    Actually I just read it again. I think the flyover at Koyambedu will be a normal flyover, but it will be built by some government ministry in charge of making ships come and go on roads. At least, I think that’s what “Kappal salai pokkuvaradhu amaichagam” means.

    Not only that, those ships had a deadline to sail under poonamallee high road by April 2007….

    One more example of Kalaignar’s arajagam(rajathanthiram is a more charitable word) was the aaappu given to gaptan. They selected his kalyana mandapam as one of the “pandakaals” for this great project.

    And they have selected the other great opposition bldg on Lloyds Road as another Pandakaal for one more fly-over as kalaignar is not able to move freely there in his car, it seems. Whenever Kalaignar’s car passes on that road, the ADMK office wall scrapes his Mercedes. Thus, that plan in the docks now.

    And Amma has taken a vow to wipe out Kalaignar and his party from TN politics when she comes to power. So, now, Raj TV is thinking of a prime-time slot for midnight arrests when Amma returns to power in 2009. Kalaignar is praying his atheist god(remember the god that loves the Yellow Ponnadai??) to keep him alive till then so he does not miss out the entertainment. SUN TV will miss out all the TRP from that project now.

    LMAO – Laughing my ass off!

    if a flyover is going to take so long, we wont see an expanded meenambakkam airport until 2015 and sripermbdur airport until 2025.

    I think they should announce that they will clean out the cooum and make it into a 10 lane freeway for uninterrupted traffic in Chennai! ..we’ll see that by 2050 for sure

    Can anyone tell me whether SPIC building in anna salai is walkable distance from either saidapet or guindy railway station?

    Spic Building is about 2 KM from Saidapet and abour 1/4 to1/2 KM from Guindy Railway Station and whether in walkable distance or not to be decided on the strengh ot your legs and on the time facto to attaend anything there;
