Momo’s on GN Chetty Road
I ran into some pleasantly suprising fare at this little restaurant on GN Chetty Road. The cuisine is largely Chinese. The portions, large. The food, a delight. The prices, again a delight.
I’ve dined there twice in recent weeks, and on the occasion I ordered Chinese, I remember discovering a few new taste buds. The other time, I had a sizzler. Yes, the menu also features a sprinkling of sizzlers with a dash of the Orient. I had a chicken number, and its culinary qualities are best described by the fact that I ate in absolute silence.
To sum it up.
Good food.
Good service.
Reasonable prices.
Average ambience.
Beer license.
Cheers.
hurray!
hows the crowd?? avg / below avg
What’s the name of the resturant and where exactly in GN chetty rd is it?
The crowd is varied. I’ve seen young couples. Families.
Mostly a quiet gathering. Nothing boisterous.
As for the location, it’s just after the Murugan idli shop. In the same building as a pub called Diesel.
Manoj, you MUST highlight that Beer License! Beer and food served together in Chennai? Wow!
This was discussed sometime back on Oruk’s Chennai Food Guide. I must say that if you are a food freak, the Orkut community is a must to be in :-) Keep blogging!
It is not just Beer, you can order any drink. Diesel Bar in the same building takes care.
