Dieting? This way please.

Head to your nearest Subway. Order a veg salad. Remember to forget the cheese and calorie laden dressing. Attack.

PS: It’s the finest, freshest salad I’ve had since turning part time veggie.

The saad that Subway serves is basically the subway sandwich minus the bread. A good salad is more than the combination of veggies and just any dressing. Since the salad is not part of our traditional Indian cuisine, it is hard to find a great tasting “gourmet” salad in Chennai. That’s because people don’t have a taste for it yet. I think the salad they serve in “Little Italy” is quite good, though expensive. If anyone knows a good salad joint, please post it.

The Red e Food Court at Chetput served one of the best salads ‘ve ever had. For unknown reasons, they now seem to have shut dow. Really bad!!!

Oh BTW, Not too sure if the Red e Food Court’s home delivery outlet still operates out of TTK Road next to Ethiraj Kalyana Mandapam.

The Salads at Bella Ciao were quite good. Can’t quite remember of other places.
