DMK workers attack BJP office

Scores of alleged DMK workers attacked the state headquarters of the BJP during a protest against the reported fatwa issued by former BJP MP Vedanti against chief minister M.Karunanidhi for his remarks against Lord Ram. 15 BJP party functionaries, including state general secretary Ms. Tamizhisai Sounderajan, were injured in the attack.

The Rama Sethu controversy simply refuses to die a quiet death.

Meanwhile, Vedanti has said he never issued the fatwa. He blamed the media for twisting his remarks.

I have to agree with NAMS. Of late, most of the blog posts have been linking to articles from The Hindu’s website. And the posts themselves add nothing to the content.

Yeah! Ye All are right, this is from the newspaper. But there is one difference I don’t get to read your comments in the Newspaper.

Anyway this act has proved that these dravidians are no good than the VHP fellas. If the VHP is facist these dravidians are communist. Both are bad for the country, both are a danger to our freedom.

Did anyone notice the instigation of our beloved minister of trouble Arcot ? Usually MK speaks through this mouthpiece and it is apparently a government backed agitation against the BJP – why is Baalu and MK so interested in seeing through this rich but not beneficial project

Karunanidhi is notorious for revelling in disputes of this nature as they tend to divert attention from the huge malgovernance being presided by him.

And then, in all this media frenzy, people are ignoring the fact that this venerable old man has called for a debate. And no one has picked up the challenge to debate on the “pagutharivu” part of the following actions:

    (1) Karunanidhi’s Yellow shawl, to start with. Why? Maybe, there is some scientific logic that lets yellow garments on the body deflect Ozone radiation from the body and keeps the good leader in good health.

    (2) As Ferrari(prabhukrish.net) has asked on his blog, why target only Ramar/Krishnar/Vinayakar? What about the huge Jesus-Business going on in the west in the facade of evangelism? Maybe, because it brings lots of money to the Karunanidhi family kitty, there is lots of logic to it. And yes, the Allah-business never had it so good either. The enlightened Kalaignar can perform Ziyarat at the Dargah, because “Engal Pagutharivu-Deivam” Periyar never meant that Allah was a god when he opposed gods. So, there.

For all the argumenative nature of Tamilians and the fact that Tamilians are good at debating, there has never evolved a serious forum where our leaders are called to debate and are held accountable for what they believe and how they propose to govern.

We are still in the realm of debating on such intellectual issues as whether Yam or Potato aid in better flatulence – “Kattru pirippatharkku Udavuvadhu – Senaya Urulaya?” – kind of patti mandrams.

    hi all,
The ruling party in chennai has failed to keep up peace and harmony in the state, so central govt should dismiss the state govt and bring in the glorious A.I.A.D.M.K rule again in chennai. Please guys you all support for the same.

Anush – Udipi Swami has taken MK’s challenge and expressed his willingness to have a public debate!
The root cause for all this is – DMK and others are elected by well-educated persons who DO NOT VOTE!!
