The Police Commissioner on parking

At a ‘World Habitat Day’ seminar on developing safe cities held at Anna University, Chennai’s Police Commissioner, G. Nanchil Kumaran said, “People who use roads and pavements as their personal vehicle parking lots are hijackers of urban public spaces”. Mr. Kumaran urged people to be responsible citizens who respected the rights of others.

Does anyone know of a way to table complaints on this issue before the Commissioner? An email id? A website? A phone number? It isn’t a bad idea to fight for your rights when the Police Commissioner is on your side.

These days even police officers make promises like politicians.

Unfortunately, corruption in the police is rampant, affects the core and from top downwards. Restaurants give them food, sometimes sending food to their houses, depending on the seniority. Money too plays a big role. They have no intention of upholding the law.

The police are more interested in the ‘soft’ targets – like domestic violence, and friends from the opposite sex daring to meet in public places. If you complain about some restaurant occupying parking space, you might become a soft target too.

The CoPs intentions are not trustworthy. Cowards and mafia are words that come to the mind.

As long as the ‘Dravidian Muttal Kazhagam’
is in power and ruled by ‘Muttal Kazuthai’ leader
and supported by the majority of ignorants including those who rolled out of the ‘Regervation’ kalloorigal there is no hope for Chennai dwellers.
Auto drivers will run amuck, Lad grabbers will only get bolder and ask for walking tax (Toll) in their streets.
There will be no Purachi (Revolt)against the rulers, they are in their secure den counting the ill gotten wealth and the fools will continue to take Autos and breathe the bad air.

    well said Ethiraj.
India is doomed. People are warned. They are slaves under their own politicians. India is DOOMED. Unless there is some kind of revolution and people fcuk the politicians brains, nothing is going to change. Almost every actor has his own kazhagam except Rajni and Kamal. Pathetic.
