Deccan Chronicle finally makes nice ads for common people

Deccan Chronicle

In an advertising world people say sex sells things much better.

I have been always wondering whether people at DC can make nice ads other than showing off skin (SEXY) to sell newspaper. Finally I see a good advertisement hoarding which is meant for common people.

Previous advertisement of DC, where I had written about them at my personal blog
Deccan Chronicle

The hoardings are nice looking. If closely observed, one finds they pose danger of falling down under heavy winds or rains on unwary common people and vehicles passing on the road. Besides huge hoardings block light, vision and breeze to neighbours.

    Dai pasangala,
Enda DC pathi inga pesureenga. They have rights to show wahtever they like in any hoarding. For some people its nice some other its not nice. If you know branding strategy of targeting a specific segment then you won’t be blabbering here sappa dude. The fact remains you have picked deccan chronicle out of all the ad hoardings and mentioned they have now improved. This itself proves that the ad appeals to desperate despos like you who wanna show off by lying that you dont like sexy things as you tried explaining in you musings. However sexy things remain in the Top of the mind for slime balls like you and you constantly keep watch over deccan chronicle hoarding to look at DC showing off skin (SEXY). And when they don’t show it u act like a sadhu. Yaranda ma dagalti katrey. dai cube a.k.a tube vegathu un Parupu Unaku neeye vacha aappu!

Women are born advertisers. If you look around you, you will find that even if they weep, there will be hundreds of people, including men, weeping with them.

That is why they find it easier to sell their resume in getting jobs, particularly when the emplyers are male! No wonder the journalists on this board are male. The women have all gone for real journalism ;)

Dear parthasarathy…..I really find ur statement about women getting jobs highly offending and obviously stupid…”That is why they find it easier to sell their resume in getting jobs, particularly when the emplyers are male!”

And won´t u agree then if that is the case then the men involved (as employers) are the most stupid ones….I have come across many women who have come up in their life becoz of their hard work and sheer determination to survive…esp. in a society plagued by men who think that when a woman becomes successful that is solely due to her body and may be she did some sexual favours to their bosses!!!

And for ur information, i do also know about some women who are successful just becoz they are women but i really think it is unfair to make such degradign remarks about women…..that too so casually

Extreme feminism is evident in your post.

Any neutral person will agree that women find it easier to get into any job. Yes, this is subjective, but I am sure that any study will prove this. That extends to journalism too, where men are hard to find. Now dont BS about women getting there because they are better.

Female extremism is an extension of the hysteria that comes naturally to females. It is sheer hypocrisy to deny the existence of female bias especially in Indian society.

    Dear Parthasarathy…

I would recommend u to revisit ur ideas about feminism.try to define that term without any prejudice……and for future just don´t use some words becoz u happen to know them!

And next time when ur resume gets rejected may be try to look at the second possible option as to why it can get rejected….

Ohhhhh….and if u can ask anyone with real fair sense of honesty they will agree my post is as just as possible from a woman…

If u have found anything else evident it must be my self confidence that comes from knowledge and experience…..try to understand and appreciate it!

This discussion is purposeless with no signs of reason, and hence I will not reply further to your comments.

vinod: nice post, i did notice too for once DC had a non glamorous ad on their shelves to offer.

Rambonumber1 : you wasted a lot of energy and time on that indecent comment of yours.

Thanks for your comments. My view for the NEWS paper is straight forward, If the product is cosmetics or related with women, then I wouldn’t have posted the matter in the first place.

Rambonumber1, This post is not about impotency, If you have known me better. You wouldn’t have written some thing crapy

Shame on you that, you couldn’t even reveal your original name and flaming comments.

I think your post is a display of ridicule. What defines whether the latest advertisement of someone sipping a coffee at a train station vs. a pin up girl is for normal people or common people or not? I think you are only qualified to speak for yourself. So dont make such generic statements

Maybe you are embarrased by the pin up girl advertisements / or maybe it doesnt appeal to your conservative character(which is a little ambiguous). But advertising is a science… what may appeal to you may not appeal to the next.

Quite evidently, you would not enjoy your rajnikanth movie as much if he didnt have a 21 year old bombshell dancing all around him displaying all her skin. This proves the ambiguity in your perception
