On bridges in Saidapet
Let me begin my, um, comeback, with a small question. How many bridges do you think are in Saidapet? There’s a bonus question, which I shall ask after answers to this one start coming in.

In the 60s there were ..
1, 2, 3. Three.
A fourth bridge was built temporarily
to move heavy equipment transports to Neyveli
in the early 60s to handle load.
Now, I am sure there are many more
the one on mount road and one more on the other side of the railway line, so two?
if this a trick question and you meant saidapet taluk, then a lot more :P
Welcome back, CG !! I think there are 2 bridges in mount road itself (one above Adyar) and another after Teachers college. And another one again over Adyar connecting the Guindy estate.
I’m not sure if you want to include the subway as well .. there are 2 .. Aranganadhan palam and one near the market (Alandur road) .. One coming up on Jones road. oh ! I miss Chennai !!
^ Isnt the one near teachers college over some small canal? i wonder if it has a name.
Welcome back! I sort of guessed that it must be you looking at the title. Oh, BTW, I’m not answering this one for obvious reasons. :)
I think there are 4.
1. The mount road bridge over the Adayar
2. Guindy Flyover
3. The railway bridge over the Adayar
4. There’s another bridge parallel to the railway bridge.
