Synopsis
The films is based on Mariane Pearl’s memoir detailing the terrifying and unforgettable story of her husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl’s life and death. The story covers Daniel’s reasons for being in Karachi, Pakistan, the story of his abduction, and the intense efforts of his wife, Mariane Pearl to find him during the weeks following his disappearance and his eventual murder.

It’s really a tragedy that journalists like Daniel Pearl, are being lost to religious fanatics who have no regard for human life. He was there reporting the facts on ground and in some sense sympathetic to suffering of the people due years of military rule in Pakistan.
What happened to that guy is really bad but the whole thing is just propaganda ploy by the embassy. I just don’t get what’s behind Madras Film Society and Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation on this?
I am against displaying graphic images of violence in the media, and take exception to this picture put up on the website.
