Padithathil Pidithathu

Thoroughly bored, I began skimming the news that arrives in my Google reader. Here’s a sample of what I liked reading today.

Hyundai to open second Chennai plant

A.R. Rahman buys land near airport for music conservatory.

There was a bird walk in the city today, much like CC’s patented photowalk. Here’s yesterday’s report in The Hindu.

Well, I didn’t know that the Mercedes had not launched the C-Class. Here’s is the story that made me aware of that fact.

I like the news pick from Ram. Today Congress announced that they are very satisfied in the TN’s steps against LTTE’s and Congress party also clarifies that they’ll not dismiss TN government. This statement came straight after, TN CM’s told yesterday in the meeting that, DMK is ready to face election. Politics.

And they do not allow new people to blog, Quite Strange!
It will become like Hyderabad metblog which had died completely after May 2007.

Look at Bangalore metblog, it is quite interesting to see the kind of blogs and the activity happening there. People don’t crticize the author but the blog and there is a lot of decency there.

I agree with Ganesh… Not letting new folks Blog, can put a tight lid on the what is expressed and how it is expressed.. Now.. I dont mean that this should mean "open to all" , because there should be some amount of moderation to ensure metblog doesnt become another wikipedia…

Maybe new folks can contribute whatever they want and some of the established folks can "bless" the article as good to go ?

    Just my .02 cents
