Smoking ban in Public places

Seems the ban is completely implemented in Chennai and our residents are following it to a T. Has anyone seen people smoking in public places even now?

Been to some Pubs and outdoor restaurants where people used to smoke previously, i don’t see it after the ban.

Honestly, it really feels good in a pub or a restaurant without the smoke hanging over the place. We are able to breath easy.

Is there a ban on smoking Hookah in Public places too?

im nt tooo sure whether the ban has gone down well with the smoking community but i rarely find people smoking on the roads..if there is one or two then they must be students who try to break the law..wateva is it im happy abt it..hope this continues to make the city a better place to live in…

I have seen many a people from the smoking community unhappy with it, but hey one good part is one of my friend is making an attempt to give up smoking after the ban :)

Chennai residents can finally breathe some fresh air.. or atleast fairly nicotene free air.

I think its still up to us citizens to enforce these rules and request smokers to follow the rules. There has to be some constant nagging on part of the non-smokers to make this totally effective.

But still, this is a one great step, and hopefully it will kept Chennai kids and adults, free of lung issues for the most part.
