E-pooja facility at Meenakshi temple

An e-pooja facility was launched at the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple on Monday to help devotees seek Goddess Meenakshi’s blessings from anywhere in the world. Executive officer of the temple, P. Baskaran launched this facility, the first of its kind in the state. Mr R. Sivarajah, CEO of Winways Systems, the company that provided the technical expertise, said that this facility would help devotees seek blessings and receive the prasadam through courier. Persons who want to have the poojas performed on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries can also log on to the website www.maduraimeenakshi.org. The relevant page would have details like the name of the person, date on which the pooja has to be performed and details like birth stars and gothrams.
