A smart perk
If you have been to the Copper Chimney restaurant after its renovation, this is probably old news. If you haven’t, read on.
Remember how crowded the entrance to the Copper Chimney, Zara, Don Pepe and the rest gets? Inspite of the valet parking, that entrance is a bottleneck because people have to park their vehicles on the road and block the traffic flow until the valet can clear the car.
Last night, we were heading to Copper Chimney for dinner when the cousins we were to dine with called and instructed us to drive to St.Ebba’s school (opposite the New Woodlands Hotel) and park the vehicle there. Apparently the school’s open area is a private parking space for these restaurants and in order to encourage people to park there, the restaurants were offering a 15% discount coupon and also providing a drop and pick up service to and from that parking lot.
Yes, you read right – 15% discount coupons are offered every night if you park your vehicle at St.Ebba’s school and take the shuttle car to the Copper Chimney group of restaurants. Smart idea don’t you think?
I was at Copper Chimney on Sat evening…enjoyed the place & the food….got to hog on some Decent North Indian food after a looooong time :)
Wow. Thats great. Always loved the food there.
Can you post the Prices per person?!
@JoeV: I am guessing it should work out to about Rs.300 per person. Not very sure though.
And this is the city which someone on Chennai Metblogs claimed had great transit!
If I get down from 29C in front of St. Ebbas, and take the car, do I still get the discount?
