Celebrations on OMR

Am not sure if this was some directive, but all the IT companies sitting on the OMR belt declared their offices closed after around 2.30 in the afternoon. The reason i found in my mail was “due to certain events in the city”. Leaving office too early on a Friday evening is ecstasy.

But, little did i know there was going to be an anti-climax on “THE ROAD”.

The moment I got the email, I pinged a few of my friends, who work on Old Mahabs, to figure out if they were leaving early too. Yes, they were. All IT companies, Colleges and a few other private companies declared off.

This was the problem. 2.30 the buses flooded the road, and it took me 3 hours and 10 minutes to reach home. It is a terrible feeling to stay stranded in the same place and wait for traffic to clear.

Considering this – 50 years, is certainly an achievement.

Was wondering where all the traffic was. I started at 3.00 from Tidel park and all roads leading to Panagal park were totally empty. Guess all you guys were stuck before Tidel Park then!
