Sunsets at Chennai
Sunset through Schmidt Memorial, Besant Nagar
There is something magical about the sunrise and sunset. And I am always fascinated by the sunsets. At different points of time, I have photographed the sunset at different places at Chennai. I am presenting a few of the sunsets at Chennai here
Sunset near Tiger Caves enroute to Mahabalipuram.
Sunset over Mylapore Tank
Sunset over Adyar River
Sunset over Cooum
Sunset at Taramani Road
Sunset at Velachery Lake
Nice pictures. The one over Adyar ‘River’ is really nice, even though the sun is not visible. I always have this nagging feeling in my mind when seeing pictures of sunsets/rises over the city’s ‘waterways’. However beautiful, it is still a large stinking body of water. :(
Yesterday, I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in my life. I was able to follow it to about a couple of degrees abouve the horizon – yellow to yellow orange to pinkish red. Buildings and trees came blocked the view. I have taken a few pictures of it, but none came too well, IMO.
Hello – the first picture can never be a ‘sunset’ – it must be a sunrise as it is Besantnagar!!
May be I am wrong – as the picture caption says Sunset at Besantnagar Beach – but the title says Sunset THROUGH Schmidt memorial
nice snaps!
Very nice pics. Have to admit that my first thought on the Cooum photo was how you could have stood the smell long enough to take it!
Sunset at Besant Nagar? Perfectly possible. The picture must have been taken From the beach!!!!
