Your home has a new earning member. Your gate.

Gate with signboards

If you own a gate, I’m sure you’re also aware that there’s someone advertising on it. Under the clever guise of a “Do not park” message. And are you being paid for the use of your space? I’ll wager a couple of hundreds to say you don’t get even a free carrot.

Think about it, a billboard on Mount Road costs a few lakhs a month. While your gate may not command the same premium, it sure can earn you enough to give it a new coat of paint every year. So if you must let your gate be messed up, make sure the advertiser’s paying for it.

Can some get those people a new board, please? One that says, “No more ‘No parking’ boards on the gate.”

My favourite: Outsider’s cars not allowed Inside.

But people buy tee-shirts with company names on! That’s not only free advertising, it’s advertising the wearer pays to carry. Never could understand that.

At least the gate signs give you a free No Parking sign!

    Mach,
Good to see you write here. The billboards caught my attention and knew it had to be you.
