Well well, if they are going to take the Arcot Road, its gonna take them at least 5 days extra.

If they have to cut in through any road that goes through Virugambakkam, Valsaravakkam then they better change to Finish date to somewhere in 2008.

Yeah,, last year the entire rally route was in Tamilnadu alone. Interstingly it started off in madras last year too. I wanted to participate but was forbidden by ‘saner’ influences :|

Neat. Jus amusing tht race is between chennai and bbay.

In chennai there is complete auto lawlessness. However in bbay, 1400 KM away.. people have the upper hand over autorickshaws. Auto’s cannot overcharge, cut lanes and autos even return 50 Ps change.

It also helps that they play Himmesh Reshammiya at full blast!

There are hardly enough autos in Chennai as it is.

If some of them went away aracing, then brace yourself to be charged a ‘racing fee’ of at least 30% on auto charges!

Finally there is no comment on the only vehicle rally being held in India..
Makes me wonder will we ever grow up to appreciate other things happening or just keep cribbing??

well, its interesting.. the last year’s event saw eager and enthusiastic “drivers” from most parts of europe.. the route that was planned was quite a route, i should say.. through most offroading and beaten tracks.. but a good experience.

this year’s event is mostly along the coast.. should be a breeze. :P
