Never knew that the metro blogs are in more than 50 cities.. :). Hope now atleast Western Powers (ie. US) see the folly of believing a military head to bring democracy to a nation…

Could you kindly refrain from discussing unrelated topics on this board?
If at all we need to comment on international issues, there are certainly forums for that. This forum is dedicated to Chennai issues and should remain such.

Please dont expect anyone to answer your question. If there is a slightest chance to bash up someone they will be happy to do it.But they wont bother to help you if you ask any questions. This is their style.

Emergency in Pakistan is an international issue. An earthquake in Chennai would also be an international issue. There is no hard and fast rules that you cant talk about international issues. Then why do you guys talk about Global warming and stuff. Please get your logic straight, first.

Hey, readers. What makes the Pakistan situation relevent here is the coverage specifically by another Metroblogging site, not the media at large.
That said, I never understand people who comment to complain about what authors here SHOULDN’T write about. If you don’t want to read it, scroll down. And I certainly hope that you leave comments letting the suthors here know what you do like, as that is much more productive than complaining when you don’t.

David,
There are plenty of sites on the web, dedicated to many issues. A Hindu religious website, for eg., would not discuss issues relating to Hinduism.
The reason why many of us like this one, is specifically because of the many articles that relate to Chennai – the place where we live.
It would be nice if the topics were related to Chennai. By and large, articles have always been related to chennai. Even religion and politics, which are otherwise taboo topics, have been discussed here. Hence, the reason there are no complaints.
There is nothing against this article per se, or the author. There is no point in going off on a tangent without attempting to understand issues. Hope this explanation suffices.
