Photos from the Second Chennai Photowalk

As some of you reading this will know, the Second Chennai Photowalk was walked. And photographed. 7 of us, this time. A drop from the first walk. But I am hoping that this grows. So, without too much of a rambling intro, here are photos.

We started from the fort, or to be precise, from across the road.

For those not in the know, the fort is in

There was a little run-in with the Police near the fort. Apparently the fort is off-limits for photography. The first time I am hearing of that. Especially since I’ve been photographing the fort for ages. Subash, one of the walkers, works for the Hindu. He flashed the magic wand, also known as press Id. And so we could continue walking.

So, deciding to skip the fort, we set off for the War Memorial
On the way, a little macro-photography trial:

From here, to the War Memorial was but a hop and skip. But, before we did go to the memorial, King George the fifth demanded a visit. While others were trying to block the sun (directly behind the statue and harsh), I photographed his coat of arms.

And thus it was, the band of walkers reached the War Memorial. Photos from there will be part two of the post. Wait up.

Hmmm…IIRC, 6 of us started walking from the Fort, or across the road from it, and 3 others joined us at the War Memorial. Yet, it was less than the max. from the first photowalk.

Murali: Hell no. We didn’t clean it. We just bribed the Corporation to sweep it and dust it and mop it before our arrival. Let it not be said the Metblog team doesn’t try to please.
